“If You Were Gone”

(Music by Hennig Sommero
Lyrics by Alexander Rybak)

If you were gone the moon would lose it’s brightness
Without your smile the finch will sing no more
And once in a while some waves would said with sadness
Remember to lovers walking by the shore

If you were gone the days would all be pointless
And in the night I’ll sing the song so blue
A song about spring and every happy moment
When I had all the time along with you

But you are here and nothing could be better
So take my hand and stay with me to dark
And will the wind is playing with your sweater
I can’t imagine life if you were gone…

If you were gone the world would lose it’s meaning
Without your love how could I smile again
And though the sun would always keep on shining
I’d never shine without my dearest friend

But you are here and nothing could be better
So take my hand and stay with me to dark
And will the wind is playing with your sweater
I can’t imagine life if you were gone…

  1. You’d better listen the song again. In the first stanza,in the second line,it’s not ”will”,it’s ”would”.Then,in the third line it’s ”sigh” instead of ”said”.In the last line of the first stanza, instead of ”remember” it’s ”remembering”.In the second stanza, second line:it’s not ”I’ll”,it’s ”I’d”.Third stanza, second line:”dawn” instead of ”dark”.Third line:instead of ”will” it’s ”while”.Same thing in the last stanza. Please, pay a bit more attention. My intention is not to criticise you,I’m just correcting some mistakes 😉

  2. I think I’m going to sing this on my ‘Concert Van Je Leven'(Concert Of Your Life) of school, which is my exam for Music.
And I think I’ll sing it while thinking of my dearest friend Fano. <3
